Meet the Governors
The Governing Body of Boxmoor Primary School comprises:
- The Headteacher
- 3 Parent Governors - elected by the parents
- 1 Staff Governor - elected by the staff
- 1 Local Authority Governor - nominated by the local education authority
- 5 Co-opted Governors - appointed directly by the Governing body
We are currently looking to fill 2x Co-opted Governor roles. For more information please contact the school office on admin@boxmoor.herts.sch.uk
In addition there may from time to time be a number of Associate Governors who are appointed for a specific purpose or to a committee but who (although they may attend) do not vote in Governing body meetings.
The Governing body operates two sub-committees:
- 'Improvement' looks after the curriculum, standards, pupils and parents
- 'Resources' looks after finance, premises and personnel.
