Headteacher: Mrs V. Campos

An introduction to the role of the Governor

Governors work with the Headteacher and other staff to set a strategic direction for the school, ensure accountability and financial probity.

The Headteacher, who sits on the Governing Body, makes the day to day decisions about the running of the school. It is the Governors however,  who are responsible for setting the school ethos, agreeing the budget, looking after the welfare of the children, for overseeing the curriculum taught and in setting annual targets for both the school's and the Headteacher's performance.

The Governors also deal with formal complaints, personnel, buildings, policies and some disciplinary matters, all of which is done on a voluntary basis.

The Governing Body is committed to ensuring that the improvements that have been identified as necessary by any OFSTED inspections and self assessment are implemented quickly and start to deliver immediate results. If you need to contact the Governors to raise any issue in confidence, you can do so either by letter via the school office or by email -
